Social Dances Teachers Course

⭐Next course is scheduled for march-april 2026⭐

Passionate about Social Dances? Do you want to pass on your passion and stand out as a professional in the field? We can help you become the kind of teacher the world deserves more of.

We take teaching seriously – it’s not about how many likes a video has – it’s about the impact we make on our student experience – and it’s wilder than your imagination. Such a course can truly take you a decade or two forward in terms of your abilities as a teacher.

What is a teacher course?

Methodology & Didactics

We will have a strong focus on didactics and methodology to a level that is rare to discuss in the social dance scene. This will set you on a path to become a distinguished teacher.

This includes: Teaching Methodology, Public speaking technique, Persuasive Techniques, and more…

Optional module: the structure of salsa cubana

For those who are curious about Salsa Cubana in particular, we can offer a deep insight into the structure of the dance.

Knowledge is power!

The module can be taken separately or avoided if you are teaching other dances.

Opportunties to practice teaching

Teaching requires practice and a space to put methodology into practice.

We will offer various spaces for you to experiment with teaching until you feel ready to embark on the journey.

Feedback loop

Practice will only take you so far – a feedback loop from a highly experienced teacher is the fuel to your progress.

Your Mentor: Ido Flaishon

Ido is a seasoned Cuban dances teachers. Dancing since 2008, and teaching since 2011.

“Teaching the new generation of teachers is a great honor. I was fortunate enough to have an education that jump-started my career and provided me with tools that would have taken me at least a decade to develop on my own. So, I know the significant impact such a course can have.

Today, I am excited to share all the knowledge I have gathered over the years to help the new generation of teachers become beacons of didactics and fountains of knowledge. My commitment to the quality of teaching is one of the main reasons our students love and return to our classes and mature well as dancers. But the quality is far from a coincidence or a personal trait—there are many secrets of the trade to learn and skills to hone.”

Among other things, Ido is:

  • Head of La Candela Salsa Berlin
  • Certified dance teacher by Latingate
  • Certified or graduated from various teachers programs, among them in Son Moderno (Danger & Yunaisy), Afro-Cuban Dances (Conjunto Folklorico Nacional de Cuba) and Casino (Jorge Camaguey)
  • Head of the Salsayo Project – Cuban Salsa Encyclopedia of figures.
  • Taught in classes and workshops in various schools and festivals around the world.

What previous students of the course say

“The course is exceptionally well-structured, offering invaluable insights into teaching and Cuban Salsa that would otherwise take years to acquire. Ido’s regular feedback was almost too detailed, but it often opened my eyes to aspects I did not consider, ultimately making me the teacher I am proud to be today.

I was pleasantly surprised that learning to teach dance also enriched other aspects of my life: my communication skills, ability to explain concepts, and confidence in handling large audiences have all significantly improved. I have experienced significant personal growth, and the newly acquired skillset enhanced even my career in tech. The course was the start of a transformative experience, and I highly recommend it to anyone wishing to expand their teaching and general skillset.”

Frequently Asked Question

Why should i take the course if i can just start teaching?

There is truly no regulation in the field of social dances, so you can do so. Honestly, you might even be just fine.

The course is intended to help you become an exemplary teacher, one who stands out among the rest. It sheds light on topics that few teachers in the field consider.

Can I join the course online?

Upon need we can accomdate our frontal classes for that.

It’s important to note that parts of the course requires you to teach – without audience and with audience. That will require you to arrange for that and film it. This is a requirement for receving the diploma.

Is it possible to give the course in my own city?

It is possible in principle, although we will need to discuss pricing and content of the course. As the course is lengthy, we might need to select modules or content and adapt the course for your needs.

is it possible to miss classes?

While you could probably do with missing one or two classes – we do not recommend to do so – every class is highly valueable.

We will provide a diploma only to those that participated in at least 6 sessions.

I am interested in the course, but not interested in teaching – can I still join?

All are welcome. The course is designed for dance teachers but it could be still very interesting for alll profession that require public addressing.

If your curiousity comes only as a dancer – you can also consider joining only the module of Cuban Salsa structure.

Can the course funded by the Arbeitsamt?

While our course is truly preaparing you for work in the field it cannot be funded by the Arbeitamt.

Why?

To be funded by the Arbeitsamt, the course need to be certified by specific authorities. As we do not give this course often enough or for the masses, such certification is not econimically viable.
