Son Cubano Moderno – The Dance
Son Moderno is a contemporary evolution of Son Cubano. Like the traditional Cuban Son, it is an elegant couple-focused dance, but it adds a layer of structure, technique, styling, and sensuality that can help Soneros connect to contemporary Son Songs (such as Leoni Torres).
The Course
In this course, we will cover the fundamental steps, leading / following techniques, styling, that are used in Son Moderno.
The course is intended for those who are familiar with Traditional Cuban Son. Fundamentals of Son Cubano will not be explained in great detail. In case you want to brave it anyway, we are also expecting the knowledge of Salsa Technique Foundation level (about 6-8 months of Salsa experience)
Important: There is a chance we will need to move a studio (to a better one) eventually. The studio will be central, either in Mitte or Prenzlauer Berg.
The Teachers
This style of dancing was initiated with Danger & Yuniasy, a power couple from Spain, and we are certified teachers of their style.
