Musicality is the conversation a dancer has with the music when he dances. A good musical dancer is much more attuned to the music and thus able to express himself in better ways both from an aesthetic point of view and from the tight connection he feels while dancing it. The course will take you on a musical adventure with an underline theme for Cuban Salsa and music.
Musicality is one of the most fascinating topics to learn (or teach) for the simple reason that there is no direct technique to acquire – Musicality really is a sort of an abstract. For that reason, each workshop will approach musicality from a different angle in hope that it will inspire different thoughts about musicality. Some of the course’s workshops will be the traditional kind, focusing on a musical choreography, or theory of music with relation to dancing. Other workshops are of my own technique of teaching, showing other aspects of musicality and allow more interaction and exploration in order to achieve individual musicality.

Who is it for?
Both men and women are welcome, no couples needed. The minimum level of each workshop is different, but in general, the course intended for dancers that have full control of salsa dancing and seek more expression. The course is approaching musicality from Cuban salsa point of view, but dancer of other salsa styles could enjoy it as well.
Why is the course so long? / I cannot commit to all period
This particular course allows drop-ins. However, this is a concern I hear a lot in Berlin and I’d like to address it. As a teacher, it is important to me to see that my lessons have contributed to my students. One time workshops are not very effective, and for that reason, I highly encourage signing up for the whole course.
