Let’s Talk – Men Edition

it's not just a party!

Practice and get to know your friends

Salsa & Friends is a Salsa practica meet-up where you can practice in a friendly safe zone, receive feedback from La Candela teachers board, and get to know your fellow dancers in an after-party meetup.

All are welcome! You don't have to be a student of our school, and all levels are welcome.

Practice

Practice Salsa with people that want to practice!
We choose the right music for you to grow - that means usually easygoing music, and music from the repertoaire of Cuban dances we teach in La Candela.

GEt Feedback

Usually we have at least one teacher around the party. It's your time to questions or reminders. You can ask for a dance and/or feedback. It's the sort of stuff we normally give only in private classes!

after-party meetup

Dancing is all about connection—but on the dance floor, we don’t always have time to truly get to know one another. After the practica, we’ll often head out together for a drink and a chat: a relaxed opportunity to connect beyond the dance and turn familiar faces into real friendships.

Please be mindful - There is no class

There is no intro class to the party, and learning the basics of the dance takes more than the few minutes we can afford each student with.

Great parquet, amazing sound system, and beautiful atmosphere.

Let's take a moment to make a space to talk about our issues as men in the dance scene.

  • What are you struggling with in dance, or on the dancefloor?
  • How to approach ladies to dance? Or how to approach a person you'd like to know more?
  • What makes movement masculine?
  • What makes a dance great, or a woman enjoy it more?

These are the kind of questions we will have and try to answer. But we work in part with the burning questions you have in mind, or with some questions women would like us to ask ourselves.
