Conga – The Dance of the Carnaval
The Conga is the most prominent dance of the Cuban Carnaval. It’s a super vibrant dance, easy to pick up, and have fun with friends while they march on the streets of Cuba.
Salsa – Intermediate 2
In this level we give dancers a deeper practice into Salsa Cubana. We revisit core elements to enhance them, and building more complex figures based on them, keeping close eye on correct leading and following technique. We also address different concepts for experienced dancers.
Cabaret / Tropicana Style
In the golden age of Cuba, Cuba was a bustling place full of entertainment. Cabarets were common, and the most famous of them all is the “Tropicana” Club that is open in Havana today.
Rueda de Casino
Rueda de Casino is a dynamic form of Salsa dancing that is danced by a group of couples in a circle, switching couples, performing group figures, and having fun with the dance.
Reparto / Cubaton
Reparto is a Cuban-flavored music genre highly connected to Reggaeton. Cubanos love dancing to it, moving their hips, and releasing. If you want to dance like a Cuban with all the flavor and sabor that’s the place to be.
Afro-Cuban Contemporary
Afro-Cuban contemporary, often called Danca Cubana is a mix of Afro-Cuban heritage dances with Western Moden & Classical Ballet as well as Contemporary dance.
Lady Style Workshops
In this workshop, we will add flavor and femininity to your Cuban salsa moves. The ability to express oneself through styling and musicality is an inseparable part of the dance
Rumba Columbia Workshop
Rumba Columbia is an Afro-Cuban dance where men (and women nowadays) get into the fray and show off their best moves. It’s a dance that exudes masculinity and has very close relations to the music and the drums.
Saturday Cuban Intensive
In this Saturday we will have intensive four classes for real Cuban dance lovers.
Salsa Suelta – Cuban Movement
Salsa Suelta or “Free Salsa” are a short sequence of free Solo steps that can be danced on Salsa. In this class, we will learn some elements, practice them well, and create short choreographies that can be used in your dance.
Salsa – Advanced 1
In this level we deal with the Salsa as it should be danced, free, rich of movement, flow, full of style and sabor. We will increase our comfortablity with complex figures, and add some twists to make the dance more flavorsome. As always, we keep our eyes on the details and work on perfecting our leading and following technique.
Body Movement and Isolation Course
True dancing comes through expression, and expression is fully possible only when the body becomes your instrument to play with. This course will deal exactly with that – with our body as our instrument for dancing. What parts can be moved? In which ways can we move these parts? How can we make the movement clean and expressive?
Cuban Body Movement Mix Workshops
Training the different body parts individually becomes part of your salsa journey if you want to add styling, Suelta, rumba, and afro moves to the songs you are dancing to.
Salsa Fusion Musicality Workshop (Solo)
This workshop will be a Salsa Fusion Choreo for the individual dance. We will dance to a fun (non-Salsa) song, and mix elements from Salsa & other dances.
Rueda de Casino Workshop (Intermediate)
In this workshop, we will go through a few known Intermediate level Rueda Figures & Rueda Configurations. Possibly we will get into some Unique Rueda figures for La Candela.
